1. Curate Your Packing List
Plan for a business casual experience with time both indoor and outdoors. Bring layers as the temperature in the meeting rooms may vary. For the site visits on Tuesday, plan for time outdoors. We suggest bringing sun and/or rain items, such as sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, raincoat, and/or umbrella. For the site visits, we recommend comfortable, closed-toed shoes. (Tennis shoes are appropriate)
2. Prepare for Travel to and from the Hilton Omaha Hotel

Once you have collected your luggage and are ready for transport to the hotel, please call the hotel at 1-402-998-3440 and press 2 to schedule a pick up. The shuttle will pick guests up outside DOOR 1. For shuttles back to the airport, the shuttles depart at the top and bottom of the hour from 4:00 am to midnight. FARM TO SCHOOL GRANTEE GATHERING REGISTRATION
The registration desk for the Farm to School Grantee Gathering will be open on Tuesday - Thursday, September 10-12 starting at 7:00 AM each day in the Grand Ballroom foyer on the 2nd floor of the hotel.
Breakfast is available at 7:30 - 8:30 AM each day and the program begins at 8:30 AM each day.

3. Consider Meals
We will provide breakfast from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. CT during registration on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We will provide lunches during the day's events on Tuesday and Wednesday. Bring snacks and a reusable water bottle for the days' events. We'll provide coffee and tea during scheduled breaks, but suggest you bring snacks and a reusable water bottle. You can’t learn when you are hungry or thirsty! Dinners will be on your own on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings |
4. Bring a Thirst for Learning and Sharing About Your Farm to School Program
Stow away your favorite method for note taking and connecting with others, such as a notepad and pen, business cards, and any charging cords for electronics you may need. If you have any resources you want to share, we encourage you to bring them. You may share them with your region's farm to school cohort during the Regional Breakout Sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. |
5. Hotel Information
For attendees staying at the Hilton Omaha, please note the following information: Check in: 3:00 PM. Check out: 11:00 AM Smoke free property. Once you are checked in at the hotel, if you change your date of departure to a date earlier than you had confirmed, an early departure fee equal to one night's room and tax will be charged. Please verify your date of departure at as you check in to avoid this penalty charge. Complimentary guest room wifi is also available with a free Hilton Honors membership. If you are not already a Hilton Honors member, you can sign up for free when make your hotel reservation or upon check in. WIFI INTERNET IN GUEST ROOM: Basic wifi internet in hotel guest rooms is complimentary access to Grantee Gathering attendees if hotel room is booked using the room block above.
