The ICARE Project aim is to empower IACUCs and their institutions to maintain highest quality animal care and use and to increase compliance with federal standards while minimizing regulatory burden. The Interagency Collaborative Animal Research Education (ICARE) Project https://olaw.nih.gov/education/icare-interagency uses active learning pedagogy which has been shown to increase effectiveness of adult education in factual and theoretical understanding of scientific and ethical issues by engaging the learner in activities that require the application of high-level concepts.

We have secured a $94/night plus tax room rate PLUS a $9.95/day hospitality fee at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel for all ICARE TTI participants. This rate is the per diem for Phoenix, AZ. The hospitality fee includes wifi in the guest room, parking and access to the fitness center.
Participants will book their hotel rooms directly with the hotel via the ONLINE BOOKING LINK. If you have trouble, please call 1-480-894-1400 and ask for the ICARE room block. We recommend that you book your room for arrival on Monday, June 3 and departure on Friday, June 7 or Saturday, June 8, depending on your travel arrangements. (The ICARE TTI sessions end at 4:15 PM on Friday, June 7).

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
The hotel offers a courtesy airport shuttle to Phoenix Airport, 5:30 AM - 10:00 PM.
When you arrive at baggage claim and have luggage in-hand, please call hotel at 480-894-1400. The operator will direct you to the proper curbside location for your terminal, and adivse you of the estimated pick up time.
Return trips back to the airport run every 30 minutes on the hour & half hour on an as needed basis from the lobby.
