The ICARE Project aim is to empower IACUCs and their institutions to maintain highest quality animal care and use and to increase compliance with federal standards while minimizing regulatory burden. The Interagency Collaborative Animal Research Education (ICARE) Project https://olaw.nih.gov/education/icare-interagency uses active learning pedagogy which has been shown to increase effectiveness of adult education in factual and theoretical understanding of scientific and ethical issues by engaging the learner in activities that require the application of high-level concepts.

We have secured a $189/night plus tax room rate at the Cedarbrook Lodge for all ICARE ATTI participants.  This rate is the per diem for Seattle, WA

 

Participants will book their hotel rooms directly with the hotel via the ONLINE BOOKING LINK.  If you have trouble, please call 1-206-901-9268 and ask for the CARE room block. We recommend that you book your room for arrival on Sunday, March 31 and departure on Monday, April 1 or Tuesday, April 2, depending on your travel arrangements.  (The ICARE ATTI classroom sessions end at 6:30 PM on Monday, April 1 and we are followed by a networking dinner from 6:30 - 8:30 PM).

Should you need an additional night's stay, the hotel will honor the group rate for additional nights pending availability.

 

Guest rooms include:  complimentary wifi, Keurig coffee maker, in room safe, hair dryer and iron.

 

Parking:  If you are driving a vehicle, self parking is $10/day per vehicle. Valet parking is $15/day per vehicle.

 

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

The Hotel offers 24/7 complimentary airport shuttle service. To access the shuttle from Sea-Tac, please first gather all checked baggage upon arrival and follow signs to ground transportation. A courtesy phone is available at Island 1 or Island 3, and may be used to contact Cedarbrook Lodge and request a shuttle pick up. Guests may also call Cedarbrook Lodge via cell phone from Island 1 or Island 3. To do so, please dial 206.901.9268 and select option 2 for shuttle pick up.

To ensure a timely pick up, hotel guests are asked to wait to call the shuttle until they have arrived at Island 1 or Island 3 with all belongings.
