Duglas Rodriguez-Calderon has a degree in Biology from the Universidad de Los Andes, Merida - Venezuela. He has a specialization in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry with experience in preclinical biochemical research and bioinformatics. Rodriguez-Calderon adds to his professional career more than 13 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs in multinational companies such as Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and Roche. He has extensive knowledge of the Latin American regulatory environment for consumer products, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. In recent years, he has worked on policy strategic approaches to improve the regulatory environments in Latin America, playing actives roles at different regulatory/health working groups of industry associations such as FEDEFARMA, AdvaMed (LATAM), the Global Initiative on Health and the Economy (GIHE) from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Inter-American Coalition from Regulatory Convergence, the Americas Business Dialogue, and also in multi-sectoral public-private initiatives like the Americas RISE for HEALTH.
He currently holds the position of Global Head of Regulatory Policy for Latin America as part of the Global Regulatory Policy & Intelligence group at Roche.
