Mario Ernesto Vega Valenzuela is an engineer graduated from the Don Bosco University in Biomedical Engineering and has a Master's degree in Hospital Management at the University of El Salvador. With a seven-year career as a biomedical engineer, he has held various roles, including Service Engineer and Medical Device Registration Specialist Technician. In addition, he has four years of experience in medical device regulation. He has participated in numerous workshops, courses and diploma courses, covering topics such as PACS and RIS Systems Administration, Good Clinical Practices, Digital Prototype Design, ISO 13485 and ISO 19001:2018 certifications, as well as comprehensive management of medical devices in LATAM.
Currently, he works as head of the Medical Device Registration Unit at the National Directorate of Medicines.
