Ms. Prat has over twenty years of experience in regulation of medical devices. In her current role she leads the In Vitro Diagnostics Assessment Team at the World Health Organization. As team lead she manages prequalification and emergency use listing assessments of in vitro diagnostics spanning across many disease areas. She also coordinates normative and guidance work in support of WHO prequalification and supports Member States and other stakeholders on matters relating to in vitro diagnostics. Ms Prat is also actively involved in global and regional harmonization initiatives on medical devices regulations. Prior to joining the World Health Organization in 2008 Ms Prat served as a medical devices Counsellor at the Agency for Medicinal products and Medical Devices in her home country. Her background is in laboratory biomedicine and management.
