Ching-Wei Chang began his regulatory career with the former Department of Health (DOH) in 2006 as an associate technical specialist and transitioned to the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) when it was established in 2010 under the DOH. He continued his work as a technical specialist in TFDA's Division of Medicinal Products from 2010 to 2013 and served as a section chief in the health authorities of Hsinchu county and Taoyuan city from 2013 to 2023. Ching-Wei received his master's degree in administrative management from Kainan University. In his current role at TFDA's Division of Medical Devices and Cosmetics, he is responsible for matters pertaining to postmarket surveillance, international cooperation, as well as alteration and extension of Class 1 medical device registration.
