Dr. Anat Boehm-Cagan is the Head of Regulatory Strategy and Partnerhips at the Medical Technology, Health Information, Innovation and Research Directorate (MTIIR), of the Israel Ministry of Health (IMoH). The Directorate serves as the main regulator for medical technologies in Israel. As part of her role, Dr. Boehm-Cagan oversees all regulatory partnerships and collaborations, in an effort to encourage and promote regulatory harmonization. For the past year, Dr. Boehm-Cagan has been leading the team focused on designing the regulatory framework for AIaMD/SaMD in collaboration with the Digital Health Division of the IMoH, as well as the Bioconvergence regulatory pathway in collaboration with the Israeli Innovation Authority.
Dr. Boehm-Cagan has a PhD in Neurobiology from Tel Aviv University, and a Master's degree in Public Policy from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is a graduate of the Israeli Civil Service Cadet Program and the 8400 executive health network.
