JuliAnna Arnett is the Chief of USDA FNS Community Food Systems Division's Technical Assistance, Partnerships, and Research Branch. Before returning to FNS, JuliAnna worked for the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), supporting interagency coordination and collaboration around the Department's local and regional food systems portfolio. She also advised the development of programming for the USDA Food Systems Transformation Framework. Previously at FNS, JuliAnna served as the Farm to School Regional Lead in the Western Regional Office, where she partnered with State agencies, school districts, producers, and distributors to make farm (and boat) to school the norm. Prior to USDA, JuliAnna worked in local government and nonprofit to advance local foods and public health in San Diego County and California. Her efforts included co-founding sector-focused collaboratives to shift institutional procurement dollars to local and sustainable foods.
